When listing calves on Superior, we list a ten day window on contract. With the first day being my chosen date to ship. However lots of variables involved, one being rep being able to weigh cattle that day. Also if our scales or open to us using them. I have to schedule scales out 60 days before because other cattle weigh and use pens. Then we also fit date for buyer in that window. It's the reps job to get in contact with buyer to see if dates are amendable with them. However when winter weather hits and road closers happen we hold cattle over for their trucks or change date to fit buyers trucks. During Covid buyers had trouble getting trucks. So we just made it work for everyone.
