CNY | I was 12, Ford 7710 tractor 6 row JD 7000 planter. The 6 light monitor crapped out. My Dad told me I could plant if I got off every round and made sure I saw seed in every trench where the planter picked up. He did the headlands and planted one round down the straight side. Big field south of our house and shop right on the main road. I planted it, my Grandfather stopped by and said it looked pretty straight, which meant the world to me coming from him. Planting corn is still my favorite job, hands down | |
