Seems like there is a little valve that slides back and forth the switch the markers that sometimes gets a speck of dirt in one of the passages. Been quite a while since I had that happen. Seems I took the round plugs out and that slide deal came out, blew some air through it and it started to work again.
Probably been 15 years ago when I worked on it, so my memory could be faulty.
