North of London | I don't have to listen to all the political spiels now that I have voted.
Was going to town for dinner at my daughters so left a little early with intention of voting and not having to go on the 28th since polling location is close to their house.
Went to polling location and there was a lineup outside.
Have never had to wait in line more than 10 minutes or so on any election day so decided I would skip voting today
So on way home I checked again and no line up
parked and found out they had switched doors probably so people waiting did not have to stand outside in the rain that we had and inside in the lobby of the community complex I found a line up, actually 2 lineups since there were 2 polls depending on where you lived
During election day there are usually 10-12 polls open depending on different sections of the riding you live in
Daughter had messages that people had waited up to 2 hours but since I was now parked and in building and lineup decided I would wait it out.
Took about 40 minutes and I was back in parking lot.
Not sure if everyone is just keen to get their votes in or the holiday is too convenient.
3 more days of advance polls but if numbers keep up it will be slow on the 28th when all polls are open | |
