Last Sunday (Palm Sunday) majority of elementary kids missing Sunday school. Volleyball at school gymnasium parking lot full.
Can't blame kids when parents are in charge.
The people havent abandoned the church, the church has abandoned the people. The hard reality of sin and hell is diminished and the gospel is at best a self help program instead of a free gift freely given. Jesus has become a life coach instead of a savior and the preachers sermon is mush aimed at making you feel warm and fuzzy and non offended. When the church gets back to preaching scriptural truth thats actually useful to the human race then the people will come back. |
