Central Alberta | I heard this story from someone who attended a bible study class in seminary school on his way towards becoming a minister.
The teacher was explaining how the bible came together over the millennia, from a collection of thousands of ancient books, that was collated, selected and re-edited to suit each revision, and were eventually edited into what eventually became the bibles we have today.
Someone in the class had a freak-out about this, claiming that the King James version is the literal word of god. The instructor had to explain that it simply could not be so, but to no avail and it became an incident. The only valid conclusion is that the bible is the word of man, not god. | |
