Subject: A reminder now that Spring is here.

Eastern Iowa
Temperatures are warming up and the bugs and ticks are more active. I was cutting brush and cleaning up alone fence lines and had a tick get on may waste line that I found while taking a shower.
Bad thing is it wasn’t the common wood tick found on your pets but it was a Deere tick known to carry Lyme disease. Lots of information and pictures to be found on google. I got the tick off but it had already started to draw blood so with a 1 out of 3 chance of it passing Lyme disease I decided to get a Dr. prescribed prescription to prevent the chance of Lyme disease.
So just a heads up if turkey hunting , morel hunting, or outdoor activities to protect yourselves I never seen a Deere tick before or had Lyme disease but can have some bad side affects if gone untreated.
