MO | finally are getting to the bottom of our lambing wreck with first group of ewe lambs. did multiple necropsies and sent samples to several state university and independent labs. everything coming back somnus / histophilus on the PCRs. I'll be honest I've never seen that in small lambs (2-4 wks)....we were going down a completely different path searching / treating for clostridials. We have the majority of our ewes left to lamb, but they are starting May 10. Curious if anyone has used Vision7 or the Somnus version. My only concern is a vacc with that many "extras" in it stressing ewe immune system this close up and causing abortions. Not sure if we had an isolated event or not, would appreciate any advice anyone has. | |
