Aussy Harold - 4/18/2025 00:00

G'day again from down under.

Monday 14th I went for a 'follow up' CT scan of my head.  [following the brain 'bleed' and drain of my brain cavity.  - operation now 16 days back.]

Had to wait until Thurs 17th to hear from local GP.

"All clear!"  - no sign of any continuing problem.  Very acceptable news.

Follow up phone discussion with the top surgeon set for Monday 28th.

As I seem to be pain free, and [to me] 95% back to normal, one question will be the length of time before they will allow me to drive in public.

My nephew doctor says there is a very small risk of either a re-bleed or some type of seizure, so until they see that as no risk, insurance would not want to know me if I had some sort of traffic "incident".

My thinking is 3 months is a LONG time!   But having driven for 62 years on public roads, and never causing any accident, I would hate to be the cause of one at this stage of my life!

Any comments re the period of the "ban" ?

mother had a cerebral aneurysm, did survive
but they said a second one and they thought they should clip it also

she was good after the first one ,there was a "after surgery " leak
from the doctors moving things around that took 149 days before he came home

was "different " after that
sure glad Dad was here to chauffer !!!

Glad they cleared you
