Altoona, WI | Exactly. And I seem to remember that it was GE dryers that were known to quit heating and all it was due to is a wire coming off a terminal on the back, inside the dryer. There is a local outfit that buys dead ones, slips the wire back on, and sells them for a couple hundred bucks on Marketplace.
I would be opening that thing up to try to remedy the problem before buying a new one. Even with doing a lot of laundry, that thing should have a lot of life left in it. | |
