N FLA | I feel like I had some parasite issues exacerbating some starvation issues.
One of my greater issues, for about 5 years I retained every heifer I had. And made them all mother cows. And several just weren't cut out to be mother cows. My low input program really can find them. One farm I started feeding hay too late. Life lesson. One cow I called my best cow on the farm, not sure. These cows lost strength to stand up. Had one I penned and lifted everyday and after a week she was good to go. Probably should have done that on every one. But I also had to be at work everyday. | |
