An additional bidder is never a bad thing if you're selling cattle. Sometimes all it takes at a sales barn is for someone to jump in once in a while when the normal buyers pull back a little too much. The sales barn owner we take our cattle to has bought one or two of our cattle (the ticket lists the owner's bid numbers) but normally gets outbid by the regular buyers.
