We don't know what the biology, if any, is like on K2-18b. But we can be sure that chemistry is the same there. So, if on Earth the only pathway to DMS and DMDS is through biology, not chemistry, the same should hold for K2-18b. As I said, growing evidence. We're not close to proof yet.
