| I asked how many hours she fasted before the test, which can produce some wonky numbers for some people. The low carb doctors suggest fasting 12 to 14 hours before the blood draw. At 10 hours, the numbers can be much different, as well as going much longer than 14 hours.
Exercise can also skew the numbers if she had taken the brisk walk right before the test.
As John noted, people have been able to make the test show about whatever numbers that they want to show, even by eating 13 Oreos per day!
