I dunno. Dad had a farm sale in 1986. He could service the debt until a farm got sold out from under him. Then it was all over. "Here" the sales were on hard until the late 1980's. One local auction company had a hundred sales a spring for several years. I don't remember exactly when that slowed down. The early 90's weren't cake. My grandparents who didn't have any debt to speak of, did OK. Dad had the misfortune of buying a farm in 1979, right before everything went to ****, or HE might have very well been ok.
