When I was a kid a new house being built was almost in heard of.

Today 160 acre developments pop up all over the place.

Just this week a 22 acre field went from being farmed to being a development a mile and a half from my place. Talks of a 29 acre pasture being developed a half mile from my place. Talks of a camp ground and all the cattle had to be pulled on an 160 acre pasture across the road from me. 80 acres of pasture going to hunting land this year a mile from my place, so no cattle on that anymore. Approximately 10 acres of cropland being replaced with houses by town. Last year 40 acres of hay ground last year all planted to houses this year by town. 13 acres of cropland planted to storage sheds last year 2 miles from town. Several 5 acre patches of hay ground planted to houses and sheds last year and this year. These are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head. I have a minimum of 3 people a week looking to buy land come in the store and ask. I could sell my whole farm for development within a week if I wanted.

The price of corn has absolutely nothing to do with the above referenced sales.
