A scale on my grain cart and the time I’ve spent putting in replicated plots have saved me thousands of dollars over the years. The vast majority of products I’ve tested have shown no yield increase, let alone a positive ROI.

Not saying these products don’t work, but they didn’t work on my farm, with my agronomic practices, in that year. Most of the products I’ve tested are biologicals or biological stimulants. Others have been practices.

And example is that it has become common practice for crop scouts to recommend and early fungicide application with your herbicide post on wheat. The fungicide reduced yield 1.5 bu/acre yield in replicated plots. So including the cost of the fungicide, applying a fungicide cost me around $12/acre
