West Central Ill. | Something better give soon, seed chemicals and fertilizer and equipment sure hasn’t slowed down on their cost increases. I think land might soften by 1-3k over its high but there are a lot of buyers still. Corn is undervalued right now and I don’t see any catalyst on the horizon to change that anytime soon. When the set a side program of the early 80’s maxed out land prices shoot up temporarily with the increased grain price, then retracted 50% quickly. Grain now has already retracted from 7-8 to 4 a bu. While land has shoot up even higher. Corn is a fire sale in reality and this is not sustainable for too much longer. 2 years tops | |
