Central Minnesota | It's honestly about time someone decides to slap Chyna around a little bit. Their market manipulation over the years has cost the ag industry billions. All of the times they buy a boat of beans for $10.20, market drops $.20, and then Chyna backs out of that purchase, only to watch the market drop 4 days later to $9.65, and then Chyna buys that boat. Saving themselves $.55 only to screw the ag industry. Or rejecting boatloads of beans. (and yes, i spelled it Chyna, because i love how it just rolls out of President Trumps mouth when he says it!)
What about the time in 2007, when Chyna was sending out toys that were tainted. And they sat back and blamed on it American soybeans that were imported?

Or Chyna rejecting corn because of supposedly being tainted with a GM gene?

Or how about how they were to halt purchases, but went ahead and did it anyways to get them cheaper.

And one must love a direct quote from that article. Where Chyna so easily changed their minds in the midst of a trade deal, previously signed!
"Any sustained halt in buying would further threaten progress toward goals reached under the Phase 1 trade deal signed in January. China pledged to significantly boost purchases of U.S. agricultural products, after slashing imports during the bruising trade war."
Yes, this is going to hurt a little bit. But one of the richest economy's in the world. Or supposedly, (ours) has been getting screwed in trade with other country's for years. And it's about time someone stood up for the American's for once, instead of how past administrations concerned themselves with their Global Image, rather than putting their own first.
And all of you in Ag, should be sick to your stomach about how Chyna treats our ag industry. But yet, when we have a President that wants to do something, your all lined up, ready to shove that dagger in his back. Even though you can't trust the Chynese gubbernemt any further than you could throw them, or anyone in Chyna for that matter! | |
