If you want "free trade" that's what you actually want. Y'all aren't asking for free trade, you're asking for the U.S. to be privileged for some reason.

So if you don't wanna buy Chinese stuff, don't buy Chinese stuff.

Business is based upon a number of factors - cost is 1 of many factors. How high it “ranks” in most relationships depends upon where the end product is marketed and sold (commodity to specialized vs common to super premium)

Innovation, speed to market, quality, reliability, within spec, on-time / in-full
