I met him, and got his book autographed.
He's originally from Toledo, Ohio ... and his nephew is an engineer I worked with that was based out of our Toledo office. I wasn't based in Toledo, but spent a lot of time there for meetings and such.
You could tell Gene Kranz was a very motivated guy. They renamed the Toledo airport in his honor.
