Subject: RE: Spraying in kinda windy conditions?

North Central Kansas
The problem with spraying at night is the inversion. I got bit on an inversion last year. I sprayed a load in the evening and came back and finished the field the next day. Neighbor called and said I killed his trees. Had to provide my spray records to the insurance company. I have a weather station at my house that I used for my wind speed and direction. After that incident I bought a kestrel hand held wind meter. When I spray I take a measurement when I start and end and load it to the app. I put that in my Ag Leader Incommand 1200 so it shows on the report. Kansas is supposed to be upping the fines for misapplication. Most of the time I do not have anything to worry about as there are no houses around. This farm has houses on all sides.
