I agree with a lot of what you said. I would also add the line from the movie “it’s a wonderful life” —-those are the people who do most of the living and dying around here —- in other words those are the people who actually make society function. The garbage man, wire puller for the electrician, the guy spraying your fields, the trucker hauling goods. And what has happened (as democrats correctly like to point out) is the rich get richer and the poorer people get poorer. We are getting very close to a breaking point where society collapses because the “haves” won’t pay the “have nots” for their time.

I don’t think most on here realize how fortunate they are to not have to go to work every day, punch a time clock, have a boss standing over them, always being told to do more with less. They’re hoping to afford to fix the car or maybe buy a house, while the ceo and management staff make bank. Between “free trade” that wasn’t free or fair and illegal immigration we’ve regulated 30% of our population to poverty. Yes there is a segment of mooches, and there isn’t a government legislation that can (or should try) to fix it. It’s called morality- and that’s where we’re at right now - too much of society is “all about me”- I cringe to think what it’ll be like in 20 years. Remember when the soviets overthrew the czar it was a small portion of society that did it. Hopefully we can restore the middle class, or else we’re probably going to have other issues soon enough.
