I don't think that "People don't want to work anymore" is an accurate statement Far and away the majority of people want to work, and are working but people want to find work that adds value to their and their communities life. And most do not find that in a factory and is that really all that surprising for the last 40 years people working on a assembly line have been told by the majority of those not doing that type of work that they are worthless and a bunch of overpaid babies.

We have become a country that undervalues hard physical work and overvalues stress driven work, That maybe changing somewhat now but it will take years to get it fully back if it ever does.

A little food for thought --- The average assembly line work of ford in Mexico has to work two full 10 hour shifts to earn what the US worker earns in a hour. funny thing is the Mexican worker is much happier at their job then the US worker.
