Subject: “The markets are getting used to tariffs.”

Your article is very good.

I linked some “gold bugs” (when the world ends.. you’re gonna want to own gold.. well gold and food.) articles below.  Which.. I don’t believe we’re at that point.. yet.. However, if the Trump administration continues to lay siege to the currently #1 economy.. it won’t take long.

Im relieved that the stock market has firmed up and the 10 year has paused.. but Trump said yesterday that..

” The markets are adjusting to tariffs.. so we’re gonna ease up for awhile.. “ then hit them again.

which is pure chaos.  If he does that .. the next leg lower in stocks will come.. interest rates will spike.. probably along with commodities.

Re shoring is a worthy goal but that will take decades.. and a plan.  Kind of like Biden’s Chip act.

PBS pointed out yesterday that the Dems only have to defend like 10 Senate seats vs 20 for the Republicans in 2026.. So Trump.. if he continues.. will probably lose the House and the Senate by 2026.

Then all heck is gonna break loose.

Biden didn’t realize that many of the migrants are conservative value Catholics who don’t support the crazy far left agenda.

Trump can NOT Reshore industry without workers.. so if he kicks them out.. we have ZERO CHANCE of rebuilding an industrial base.

Not going to happen.

Those who think Trump has leverage against China.. are living in fantasy land.  China will consolidate its grip in Asia.. and over take the US as the worlds largest economy..

hmm.. demographics?  Can China do it by itself?  No.

However, Trump has handed China on a golden platter access to Vietnam, Thailand, Brazil.. etc.. which as they consolidate.. Can defeat us.

Meanwhile Trump is attacking our Allies in an attempt to create “Fortress America.” And a recession or a depression.  As the consumer shuts down.. see Covid., the US economy will slow growth or even contract.

China is going to pass us by.. in short order if we continue.

Who wants to make shoes for Nike in America?  And whom could afford paying $500 a pair or whatever they would cost.

it’s a totally flawed strategy.. in the short term.. and he won’t have control in the long term to see it through.
