We plant 140k an acre and stand counts right before harvest are usually around 110-120k. Lose 14k right off the bat and another 5-10k from failed emergence or wildlife loss whatever you want to call it. They disappear like phantom yield loss for whatever reason. Said we were going to back it down to 130k this year but staying at 140k for now. Later it gets going to take more plants to do the same thing
