It should work either way but I’ve went to only spraying ahead of planting. Issues with waiting to spray after planting I’ve had are it rains or the wind blows crazy for a few days and doesn’t get sprayed before the beans are up or if the first rain after planting/spraying coincides with beans emerging it can be really hard on the beans and I’ve had to replant.

Just be sure if you spray ahead, that your seedbed is such that you can plant with row cleaners up. I’ve never had issues with just planter units disturbing the herbicide layer.
