 Leesburg, Ohio | You can claim some get "hurt" when jobs are eliminated by moving them to another location where costs are lower or other advantages exist.
But if free trade allows production to happen more efficiently/at a lower cost, how is that a bad thing? Surely there are things we do here in which we have an advantage over other countries? (There are: ag production being one.) If both co9untries can then buy the things they need from each other at a lower cost, how is that bad?
I know it is hard to see that when traditional jobs leave our shores.
That said, I think tariffs can be a good "tool" in our tool box to eliminate unfair trade practices. | |
