I try to get my soil in real good planting condition. Normally the garden is bedded and then drag the beds off with a do-all. I have a one row roller I use behind the 4 wheeler I normally run before planting. It's made from 4 x 8 gauge wheels bolted together so it leaves a mark in the soil to plant my row on. Sometimes will make a second pass with it after planting.
