NE Iowa | We were down there in early December. Couple things outside of town we enjoyed were Dogwood Canyon and Top of the Rock. The golf carts at Top of the Rock are kind of gimmicky, but it was a nice diversion from the city. You can eat at Top of the Rock, but it's pricey (too pricey for us) and I'm guessing you need reservations. The chapel is also kind of neat.
If you're thinking shows - the Sight & Sound and Dolly Parton's Stampede were certainly worth all the press they get.
Mel's Hard Luck Diner was an entertaining place to eat. | |
