Please note how the temperature and pressure run away well after the welding rod is removed from the rim.


IF you notice. It started over 80 psi. Everyone I have heard weld removes the valve stem. So it starts at 0psi. As pressure rises it can vent thru the valve stem. The tires should hold even in pressures over 200 psi.


As fast as that was climbing having the stem removed is definitely not going to be enough........
