n. Illinois | Trump is trying to right a wrong committed by the Uniparty in DC against the American people.
We shipped millions of good paying jobs overseas in the last 60+ years. I am sorry losing a job in a Car Plant is never going to equal a new job as greeter at Walmart. Same number of jobs but, Walmart doesn't actually create wealth but Ford does, The local Medical Clinic doesn't create wealth but a farrow to Finish 500 sow farm does. A 1000 ac corn soybean operation creates wealth. Mining creates wealth, Does a restaurant create wealth? No Government job has ever created wealth ever. Yet we count government spending as part of GDP when government spending is nothing but the destruction of wealth.
Clinton was bought off by the Chinese to push NAFTA through because no Republican President would ever get the D's in congress to vote in favor of it. (heck Lincoln couldn't get the Democrats to vote in favor of the 13th Amendment to abolish slavery without buying a couple of them off). But there are R's in congress that will vote for things pushed by a Democratic President. (More R's voted for Johnson Civil Right legislation than D's)
Just like Judas and his three pieces of Gold, Clinton sold out millions of Americans out for a BJ and some cash.
My oldest brother worked for P&G for years He was a buyer and became an expert in injection plastic molding, P&G sources products from all over the world.
He tells the story that he could show with dollar's and cents that shipping off the manufacturing to China, dealing with the freight and poor quality control issues that it was rarely cheaper to have an item produced in China vs the United States.
But the CEO suit is subjected to group think. So when the Financial Analysts keep asking the CEO of any company when are they going to make the shift to manufacturing overseas He gets tired of it and he doesn't actually know the real numbers for his own company (surprise there isn't it) and he is surrounded by a bunch of yes people (that's how they got there to begin with and anyone who has ever worked any large company can attest to this fact) so next thing you know they manipulated the data to justify moving their manufacturing out of the country (ever manipulate your assumptions to make doing a bad decision?
Every $500/ac cash rent guy did so) destroying thousands of lives and yet not selling the product any cheaper and in turn allow the Chinese to steal any trade secrets and then have to deal with brand new competition from a Chinese company selling their product at a cheaper price point etc.
The Economist's then claim that we are all better off? So are we? I am on the side that claims that we are not better off
