Not sure if it would work but most sweet bread recipes use milk, could try swapping some of the water out, but probably need more sugar as well. The sweet bread recipe that came with one machine has around a 1/4C sugar and all milk in the mix, been awhile since I made it so I'm going off memory, hopefully I'm close.
