SW WI | I used a push planter when had big garden.(years ago) Earthway is what I have , there are many brands out now. The soil needs to be worked well , loose and somewhat dry.. If the soil is partially wet and or clumpy the push planter may not work well or not work at all.
I have heavy soil and sometimes a work out pushing the deeper seed in (1.5 to 2 inch sweet corn), overall worked well. Beat hand planting. I used it mostly for beans, peas, radishes, corn.
This may help or not first video the soil bit chunky, he is gonna have some fight seeding and have to go back some and push seed in second video the ground is rototilled. He is going to walk along and seed.
