Disc mowing works with about 60-80% kill at slow speeds.
I do not recommend a bush hog. Its kill rate is much lower compared to a disc mower at slow speed. It results in a many lateral branches and a thickened main stem/trunk. This modified growth pattern makes getting all the green almost impossible. My disc mower wanted to lift over the modified cedar.
