I feel your pain on the beans.  The 10.25 ones we hauled out in January didn't come close to the 12.30 beans sold a year ago.  But delivery date doesn't mean sell date. Or basis.  

As you know....If you sell HTA during that June/July time frame for March/April delivery following year can set basis when it is to your advantage and haul when you have time. It will pay 7 of 10 years or more. Those that sell futures can be even more flexible.

Can blend moisture between bins, add value grains to the operation that might take delivery later.

Harvest flexibility is as important as anything.
