I’ve been disappointed in our Polys. Ours have only really averaged about 1.3 to 1.4 in the spring time. Never had much luck getting them to breed out of season. Our texels do very well at about a 1.75. I have crossed Our texels and our polys, but haven’t been too impressed. They’re not the best growers either. They’ve taken about six months to get up to 120 the past few years on full creep grain. I think the best thing you can do is cross them with a Suffolk. And hope to punch up the growth rates.
