I agree with your statement that persistence is absolutely key in getting ragweed under control. We have seen that it takes about 3 or 4 years to get get a field with moderate pressure cleaned up. You have to use all available tools, and then go walk everything you couldnt get. Weed zapper was one of the best additions for us, saved a huge amount of time walking beans. Yes its last resort and youve taken a yield hit at that point, but when trying to clean up a field preventing viable seed becomes just as important of a goal as yield is. And if a field is really infested (or even if it isnt) theres no physical way you will get them all early, and the zapper is a very efficient way of killing whats left.
