| Fellow marine at 29 Palms Ca. married a girl from central Missouri. His wife had a few girl friends at CMSU she thought would like to pen pal. I picked one and wrote the first letter; after 4 months writing I was home on leave and decided to look her up. It was 150 miles to LaMonte Mo. Stopped at a phone booth to call her, and much to my surprise her dad had 5 brothers in the same phone book and no one used their first name. Her dad was WT Patrick but everyone called him Dave? So my first phone call was to her aunt. Soon all aunts, uncles, and cousins got the story!
Got the right phone number and went to dinner and movie with her cousin and his date.
