Rather, it is the troubling fact that both parties continue to place their trust in leaders who, by most objective standards, are ill-equipped to govern effectively. Allowing a clearly over the hill President Biden to seek re-election was, in hindsight, a strategic error for the Democrats. And reinforcing that decision with Vice President Harris, who failed to gain traction during the primaries, only compounded the issue.
Agreed. Democrats would have run away with this election if they'd nominated someone halfway competent. However, this is not a uniquely American problem by any means. There's plenty of European leaders who are nearly as incompetent.
