northeastern Ohio		Our local hospital used have a program called "Project Hello". It was funded by donations and run by the hospital Auxiliary group. It was identical to the Life Alert system but was totally free to community members who needed it. Sadly, the Auxiliary disbanded in 2021 due to declining membership. You should check with your local hospital offers such a service.
