northeastern Ohio | I was starting my sophomore year at Ohio State. I worked on night staff for the dorm, so I had to be there a few days early. I was in the dorm lobby when one of my co-workers came in the door. She ran over and gave me a hug. Then this other girl I didn't know came running over and gave me a hug too! It was my future wife, but we had never met before that day. The hug took me by surprise.
My co-worker invited me to play cards at her dorm room that night. I walked in and there was my future wife again. I invited her to go to the Farm Science review with me the next day, but she had better things to do than go to a farm show. Despite the rejection, I got up the nerve to ask her to a movie a couple days later and she accepted. We have been together ever since. | |
