Subject: RE: single row plates vs double row plates for beans

West Central MN
Meter speed on a Deere is an issue with single row soybean disks on traditional 30" rows. Should be ok with 15, 20 or 22" rows. What spacing do you have?

A few years ago, purchased single hole soybeans disks but have zero yield data between single and the Deere 3-hole. Primary reason for purchasing the singles was to eliminate any changes to the meter with brushes, etc., switching between soybeans and corn or back again. Secondary reason was equally spaced beans makes more sense than piles of three close together with the caveat of have zero data to back that up.
