East of Broken Bow | We have relatives that married people from Europe. I have noticed that when they talk about Trump, and saying that he has no clear long-term goals and is doing things with questionable outcomes, they are meaning it from the European point of view. They are used to the USA being like Europe's big brother, protecting them from bullies, and always 'looking out' for them (Europe). What they seem concerned about, is that Europe is used to being like the kid on the bicycle with training wheels, and now Trump is acting like the big brother who took off the training wheels and is ready to let go of the seat. They are acting on the uncertainty of how they are going to get along without the US propping them up. | |
