You said,”It can be a little risky.” It can due to frost , but think about that extra 20 bu/ac. I’ve heard it said and I agree , early planting of soybeans is beneficial enough to take the risk of frost 1 or 2 years out of 10. Many in our area will plant soybeans before corn, or if they have 2 planters start both the same day. We like to go early.
