Subject: single row plates vs double row plates for beans

Scottville, 49454 Northwest Michigan

Has anybody ever tested, or know of testing comparing the singulation of double row seed plates versus the singulation of single row seed plates for soybeans?

Sometime this winter it was suggested to me that singulation with single row plates is better than singulation with double row plates.  The only hesitation I have with using single row plates, is knowing the meters are going to have to turn quite a bit faster than they would with double row plates.

What say my AgTalk friends?
