Nc Ks. | From 8th grade through high school worked for my uncle. During that time he had 3010, 3020 and 4020 tractors. Got the opportunity to farm a piece of ground after vo-tech and bought a 2 cylinder 730 diesel. But it wasn't big enough to pull his equipment so that fall (1974) bought a nice 1968 930 Case. I really thought I had something until I took it to the field. First thing the power steering wasn't the greatest. Would have been fine I'm sure if I hadn't spent all those summers running the 10 and 20 series deeres. But the awful thing was the brakes. Had duals on it and even though e put new discs in them, they didn't last the year. That following spring my uncle traded for a newer 4020 and I traded that newer lower hours 930 for his older, higher toured 4020. Went backwards in horsepower a little but at least it would turn at the edge of the field. | |
