EC Nebraska | In 1934, my grandfather bought 40 acres for $150/acre. In 1941, he bought an 80 (in the same section) for $75/acre. Same total dollars for the 40 and the 80.
Six weeks ago, an 80 three miles away from that first 40 sold for $13,300/acre. I would guess that it was very comparable ground in 1941. All three pieces are a bit rolling, Grandpa's ground is less eroded today, but they likely were in very similar condition 80 years ago. All dryland.
How you want to compare those depends on what gold prices were in '34 and '41.
