The previous 4 years were so diabolically anti core American values, that about anything is better.
Loss of freedom of speech, using political agencies to stifle the opposing party, breaking up families, creating a slave class again in this country with the illegal invasion, and on and on.
It truely was horrid.
I don’t know all the details of where we are headed now, but it is a better future than it was. I don’t agree or understand everything going on, but it is a world way much better.
Unfortunately 4 years won’t be enough time to turn the ship around. And so it might all be for naught. But at least we tried, before the good values and old beliefs of the USA are all taken away by the press and extremists.
Not being here, I I don’t think you understand what we had 2 generations ago, and what we have lost since. Lots of folk here don’t understand where they think they are taking us.
Europe comes from tribes and fortresses and kings and a constantly changing map. It’s different here, or it was. You can’t understand those details, the richness we had. What many of us want to return to.
The book 1984 wasn’t supposed to be a manual. We are supposed to oppose those views, not embrace them as the extremists do.
Yes, I’m worried. Not as worried now as I was 4 years ago, but I’m worried the media and crazy people will return us to that time.
