Depends how much manure your moving. A skid steer and a 400 bushel spreader versus a 900 bushel spreader and a 544 payloader are going to have different rates.
What size spreader? I wouldn’t want to pay 2 people with only 1 spreader running. Sounds like a 1 man job.
Some change buy the load with a mileage charge after a certain distance.
400 bushel spreader and a skid steer..10rs worth of spreading probably 55-60 loads of heavy bed pack bedding so having a guy at the pile moving and fluffing made it a lot quicker as when I pulled up I was getting loaded. Could I have done it solo yes but I still would have had the same amount of equipment there and would have taken much longer. pile was right next to the field so it was not like the guy in the skid loader was waiting for 30 minutes for me to come back it was very quick turn and burn type scenario |
